Trina Solar to present smart solutions for rooftop PV systems at Solar Energy UK

Trina Solar will be showcasing its products and solutions for rooftop PV systems at this year's Solar Energy UK exhibition on the 14th-16th October 2014 at The NEC in Birmingham. At the show, the company will present a selection of its latest PV technologies, including Trinasmart and the high-performance Honey M module range, as well as offering practical advice and demonstrations to installers to help them take advantage of the fast-growing residential and commercial sectors.

Trina Solar's high-power development in PV modules, Honey M, provides a top-class service offering with high-efficiency monocrystalline cells to maximise available space and lower BOS costs. Honey M with Trina Solar's world-record-setting Honey technology provides a top-end power output range of 260-275W and offers excellent performance in low light conditions - making it an ideal choice for rooftop installations, where energy requirements are high but space is limited.

Meanwhile, the triple-black TSM-DC05A.05 Honey M module with its dark frame and back sheet combination is particularly visually attractive to residential rooftops. Both Honey M versions provide a perfect fit for private residential and smaller commercial rooftop installations.

Trinasmart is a performance optimiser integrated into Trina Solar's monocrystalline Honey M module range. It enables panel-level monitoring, full module optimisation, control of arrays at modular level and can increase system performance by up to 20 per cent.

Users have real-time access to all module data through their smartphone or laptop, with the ability to switch off the entire array with a single click. Trinasmart is compatible with virtually all inverters currently in the market, does not require extra wiring, and makes it possible to run up to 30 per cent longer module strings due to the innovative Smart Curve function.

In addition to its monocrystalline module range, Trina Solar will also be showing its Duo-Max module which features a maximum of 310Wp output power. It is especially suitable for ground-mounted systems and larger commercial applications.

With its dual-glass, frameless design, the Duo-Max module is a highly reliable and durable PV product even in harsh environments.

It offers high levels of resistance to degradation caused by thermal cycling, moisture ingress, mechanical loading, micro-cracking, PID, module warping, UV aging, as well as corrosion from ammonia, acid, alkali, salt mist, and sand abrasion. The Duo-Max module is Fire Class A certified by TUV Rheinland. Both the 60-cell and 72-cell Duo-Max products carry a 30-year linear warranty with a maximum 0.5% degradation per year.

Alongside product presentations, Trina Solar will be sponsoring the show's Installer Central feature area, helping installers get the most out of the company's product range. Trina Solar experts will be offering advice and giving live demonstrations including further detail on Honey M and Trinasmart in practical workshops for installers.

Richard Rushin, Trina Solar's UK Sales Manager and Board Member of the STA, said: "To-date, the commercial sector in the UK has lagged behind that of our European counterparts, but with recent commitments by the British Government to boosting PV take-up in the sector, we predict rapid growth in the UK commercial space. But for this to happen, solar manufacturers need to support installers to help them develop their product knowledge and technical skills and provide their customers with high-quality service.

Manufacturers must show confidence in the growing UK installer community by having a strong presence on the ground and supporting local businesses and events, which is why events such as Solar Energy UK are so important."
