Independence Solar Completes 103 kW Commercial Rooftop In Branford, CT with Ring's End

Independence Solar announces the completion of a 103 kW rooftop solar array for Ring's End's Branford, CT showroom and lumberyard.

The installation contains 420 panels and will offset more than 60% of the building's annual electrical usage. Independence Solar worked with its installation partner, Branford-based Pat Munger Construction, to complete the project on time and on budget.

Louis Reda, CFO at Ring's End commented, "Following our company's philosophy and history here at Ring's End, we are committed to our work and home environments. We have made a sound investment with our solar installation, and we are excited to see the future results. From the planning and design stage right through construction, the project was handled professionally, smoothly, and with high customer service."

The installation is connected to Connecticut's Light and Power Company's electrical network and is a part of the Zero Emissions Renewable Energy Certificate (or "ZREC") program, which secures a 15-year contract with the utility.

The project commenced construction in October and started generating clean power for the store in December. Independence Solar builds long-term partnerships with its customers and will manage the operation of the system for Ring's End to maximize performance.
