Obtaining of 7 electricity generation permits in Mexico


The Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE) has approved the electricity generation permit based on the figure of "small producer" for seven 30 MW AC PV projects requested by the Mexican companies ENERGIA SOLAR SONORENSE, ENERGIA ELECTRICA DE CHIHUAHUA, FOTOVOLTAICA DE AHUMADA, ENERGlA SOLAR MOCTEZUMA, ELECTRICIDAD SOLAR DE CHIHUAHUA, ENERGlA SOLAR DE HERMOSILLO y ELECTRICIDAD SOLAR DE HERMOSILLO, in Chihuahua and Sonora State.


The Projects will consist in 35,84 MW AC power and will be located in a land Surface of approximately 80 Ha each one. It will be installed with the technology one-axis tracker and foresees the installation of 121.500 solar photovoltaic modules of 295 Wp each one.


Each project will allow the emissions saving of 76.625 CO2 tons annually what represents the avoiding of cutting down more than 300.000 trees and will provide electricity to supply more than 34.250 homes thanks to the provided energy (72,79 GWh per year).


These 7 projects are developed by the Company SDC TW-ALJAVAL-TE S.A. de C.V., founded jointly by the Spanish companies TRANSWORLD SOLAR and ALJAVAL and the Mexican Company TECNOAMBIENTE.


One of these projects, located in Chihuahua State is also founded by the Spanish company ICO Energia. It is expected the start of the construction of this pipel projects at the end of 2015.
